On Hikes and Steeples...

Well! This fine, fine day, my family and I (and Becca) decided to go on a little trip in to see Steron! Ok, maybe we didn't decide today...they invited us like two weeks ago. STILL! We went to see them. After a short little bit of fellowship time in their nice living room...we ate. (And the second pic is of their tiny tiny kitchen...heh)


WOO FOOD! She made "coke chicken" with a spinach garden salad, as well as chips and a heavenly spinach dip. (I think more dips need to be made with spinach.) She also tossed a blackberry dump cake in the oven for us too, and then, leaving it cooling on the counter, we went for a little hike. They've got this neat little "nature area" or something that's several miles long and has like 8 miles of trails scattered across it. There were swinging bridges. :D


We decided a short perusal of the downtown area was in order, so off we went. Steron kept talking about this street with a ton of really amazing churches that looked like castles and palaces...and they were right!


There were many more...but as I was taking pictures through a dusty car window, they didn't turn out very well. Well! That's all for today. Perhaps I shall think of more whenever more decides to happen.

On Decorating...

So I haven't posted anything in fooorreeever because I haven't seen Steron for two weeks. Lo and behold, though, I randomly decided "I should go to Lynchburg today!" And then....I did. It was nice driving all that way...its not very often that I get to blast music for long periods of time. Anyways, finally I arrived at the wooorld famous, Albuquerque holiday inn! Wait...no...I got to their apartment. Close enough.

I liked the place when we first went there...very nice and freshly painted, new carpet, etc. Finally I got some pics, though! I wish I'd had my wide angle lens with me, because there's only so much room to take pics. Still, here is the living room/dining roomishy part of the house.


To my right...are stairs! They go upstairs. Surprise surprise. They've got two room up there and a bathroom...they're using one as an office/book/workout/music/storage space...


I'm gonna get a picture of that crazy kitchen next time I go up. Stef's done a good job with it...she's got lots of things hanging on the wall because, like I said, there's very little counter space. They keep the dog out of the kitchen too...thank heavens. *shudder*

As far as health goes, they're doing pretty well there so far too. Well...other than my sister seems to have this thing for lacerating her fingers.

Also, dogs hate me, and I (as a general rule) do not like dogs much...mainly the ones that hate me. Just putting that out there. xD
